Leadership Scholarship
It is with great pleasure that I inform you that Sarah Gee of Westmount Secondary School has been chosen to receive the 2011 Amanda Viger Memorial Student Leadership $1000 Scholarship.
We had many qualified candidates apply for the scholarship this year, however, the Review Committee scored Sarah as the strongest applicant. The Committee was thoroughly impressed by Sarah’s active involvement and contribution to forming the Westmount Health Action Team (WHAT), along with her impressive academic standing. The Committee felt she embodies the same values, characteristics, and ambitions that were evident in Amanda.
Our intention is to present Sarah with her award at our annual Unfiltered Facts Youth Summit this Fall. We wish Sarah the best of luck in her last month of high school. We know she has a bright future ahead of her.
Thanks to everyone who came out to Bowl 4 Amanda on Monday June 6th, 2011 – and special thanks to Hamilton Mountain Lanes for having us. We successfully raised $1300 to put towards the Amanda Viger Memorial Student Leadership Scholarship fund! Check out a quick video on our YouTube channel showcasing some of the pics from the event.
